A-Lone Productions
The aim of the label is to keep alive the style, sound and message of the music we love, the 70´s roots reagge & dub music (in terms of recording techniques, instruments, artists....).
A-Lone Productions label was created in 1997 by Roberto Sánchez and Borja Juanco (Loud and Lone). It was created to release The Same Wrong Thing the second album for Lone Watti, the band formed by Roberto Sánchez and Borja Juanco in 1995. Between 1997 and 2001 the label released works by Loud and Lone such as Showcase Vol.1, Showcase Vol.2, Melodica Melodies, and some others.
But it was in 2004 when the label started releasing more often and seriously, always focused on the deep sounds of the 70´s and early 80´s roots and dub music. That year saw the release of the first 10 " produced by Roberto Sánchez and his new solo musical project Lone Ark; it was the No Competition Riddim featuring Kenny knots, Afrikan Simba and himself. That was followed by series of 10 including Rod Taylor´s You´re Going Away (2005), Earl 16´s Holy Land (2007) and Earl Zero´s Root of David (2008).
In 2007 the label released a series of wicked rocksteady singles featuring Alpheus, Glen Washington, Ranking Forrest and Lone Ark riddim force. That work on the early roots of reggae kept going during the following two years and as a result, the next January 18th 2011, the label will release From Creation the new album of Alpheus.
In 2010 the label released the strong and stunning showcase album by roots legend Earl Zero, called And God Said to Man. The label has nowadays different solid releases from top artists, all well produced and mixed by Roberto Sánchez at his A-Lone Ark Muzik studio. For all roots reggae lovers A-lone is a must!!
